Graduation, PokerManila, and Bad run.

I feel really accomplished and ready again because recently I graduated from the www.asiapokeracademy.com VIP Program Philippines yesterday. Together with 'Berto', who owns this awesome blog, we are the 1st batch of the said program. Unfortunately, a member of the 1st batch was not able to complete the program not because he's not good (fuck he is very GOOD) but, I think he just didn't have enough time to finish other final requirements. So anyway, I feel blessed and happy it is finished and we made it. Thanks to Coach Ron and Coach Ramil for all the support and help. You guys are amazing!!! =)

Last Tuesday, we at PokerManila.com celebrated our Christmas party at the Gamefrog in Metrowalk. After the dinner and drinking, I joined the 2 tables shoot-out SnG for Php700 which is a part of the Xmas party. Each table will pay the top 2 players with a Metro 5Million Xmas tradition seat worth Php10,000. And who knew(lol), I ended up winning a seat together with Pao, Pokerpeys, and Jamapanda of PokerManila (GL GL to us). The SnG shoot-out was crazy, I even turned a K high straight flush busting out Arvyt with his 7s. Good game PokerManila, I'll play my best and bring home the spaghetti.

Then the Bad Run. I am currently on a 24 buyin downswing for the past 5 days in 20NL SH. Yes it's shameful and very uninspiring but that's poker. I am moving down again to 10NL SH and build my BR up to $1000. I'm hungry(spaghetti in mind) and ready to play again.

TILT! and updates...

Why I hate TILT:

1. I spew too much obviously and play like a donk.
2. The fucking reason why the graph below looks like a roller coaster.
2. I feel sick when I go on tilt.
4. My mind goes blank for an hour or two and punch myself for losing 23 buy-ins. I call it FISH/DONKEY Syndrome.

Why I love TILT:

1. I study the game/mistakes.

Here is my latest update on being a spaghetti. I'm back on the green already and I'm really surprised on my RB last month. I received $180+ playing microstakes only and please tell me how is that not AWESOME!!! I played almost 25,000 hands in 45 hours of play last month and I was -$149.00 for a bad month.meh. With that result, I'm still up overall about $30+ for November (Thanks to the cool RB that asiapokeracademy.com gave me).

December! I'm feeling good this December. I have been following/studying materials by aejones and I feel like a newbie again to poker. I started playing LAG for 1 week now and I'm enjoying every freaking hand I play compared to my old style(TAG). I've managed to play with a stat of 31/23/6.3 and my target is 33/23/7. So I'm very close to my target already. I hope this LAGgy style is the perfect formula/sauce for this spaghetti.

EPIC FAIL!

Okay. My BR was raped/ambushed. Reason? TILT!. My session last week ended with a 25 buy-in downswing in 10NL SH. The tilting started when I had AA and KK at the same time in two tables. Both were cracked, AA vs two pair (89o) and KK vs bottom set (44). Anyway, I won't allow this downswing to happen again. If this happens again, I'm going to quit poker ZZZeriously!

First Report

Halloween slowed my grind a bit but I had 2 sessions already and I'm up $84 combined (graph below). I'm in Pangasinan right now and I am starting to notice that I play a lot better when I'm here in the province. I can't be here though because I have a regular job in Metro Manila. Could it be the roosters? lol



I'm doing okay so far. I got stacked twice (KK vs AA and flopped straight vs rivered flush), but yeah I can live with these coolers and bad beats. Green stat is all that matters.

GOAL #1 -> $1000
-> 684 (current br)
-> $ 316 to go

What's up!

Alright. I'm kind of not enjoying 'now' right now. Soooooooo, I feel like playing online poker again. My online bankroll is on a downswing and I can only blame myself and my old me being very lazy for the past 2 months.

My current BR is $600. So here are my goals:
- $1000 -> move up to 20NL SH
- $2000 -> move up to 40NL SH
- $2500 -> move up to 50NL SH
- $5000 -> move up to 100NL SH

I will play 2 to 4 hours every night (after office) and update this blog when I have time and energy after a session. Goodluck to me and yeah Spaghetti players, let's shuffle up and deal. =)
